The heroine's best friend from college. Out of concern for the heroine sharing a room with a guy (Gill), Claris decided to become her roommate as well. 

Even after the broken-hearted Gill moved out of their apartment, Claris and the heroine remained roommates, further strengthening their friendship. The pair are thick as thieves, and continue to play an important part in each other's lives. Claris also works at the Cupid Corporation in a technical role.
